Free Trees!

May 5, 2020

Trees provide many unique benefits; they add aesthetic appeal, provide shade and help property value. Planting trees is also a great way to protect and enhance local forest cover and reduce erosion along watercourses.

The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal is working with our friends at the South Nation Conservation Authority to offer FREE TREES to Edwardsburgh Cardinal residents.

Request your free trees using the order form below by May 11th. SNC staff will reach out to you to confirm your order. Please make sure your address is correct on the request form. Township staff will deliver your trees on May 13th, taking every precaution to limit physical interaction and follow social distancing guidelines. There will not be a pick-up location in Edwardsburgh Cardinal.

Click here to request your tree seedlings.

Note that trees are accepted on a first come first serve basis with a limited number of seedlings available. If Edwardsburgh Cardinal is not listed on the form, we are out of seedlings for our area.

“We thank everyone who planted trees on their property this spring, whether through our tree planting programs or on your own, you’re true environmental champions!”
