Public Works

The municipal Public Works Department operates from two locations.  The Pittston Depot (located at 4145 County Road 22) is primarily responsible to service the rural areas of the Township including the Villages of Spencerville and Ventnor.  The Cardinal Depot (located at 4035 Dishaw Street in Cardinal) principally services the urban areas comprising Cardinal, Johnstown and New Wexford, as well as communities along the St. Lawrence River.

In Edwardsburgh Cardinal we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and progressive township. Recent global events have led us to affirm our commitment to recognizing, renouncing, and addressing all forms of discrimination, ethnic oppression and racism within our communities, our surrounding region and across our country. Residents should be aware that any garbage placed curbside for pickup before 5am on the day of collection should be placed in a container suitable to keep water and animals out. Please help us keep our homes and neighbourhoods free of unwanted animals by removing these late night snacks.
