MARCH 25th UPDATE: Property Taxes During COVID-19 Pandemic

March 25, 2020

Municipal Council passed a resolution at the March 23rd regular meeting of Council that will extend the 2020 interim tax bill due date from March 31st to May 31st, 2020. This measure was instituted to provide short term relief for residents and businesses that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We encourage residents and businesses that are able to make payments sooner than the extended deadline to do so using one of the following options.

  • Online Banking. Set up “Edwardsburgh/Cardinal” as a payee with your online banking provider, using your property roll number as your account number.
  • Telephone Banking. Phone the 1-800 number on the back of your interac card to make payment arrangements through your bank.
  • Mailed Cheque. Please mail your cheque to PO Box 129, Spencerville ON K0E 1X0.

We also offer a monthly payment plan to spread your payments out over the year instead of one lump sum. Visit our website for details and an authorization form https://www.twpec.ca/living-here/taxes-property-assessment/.

Mayor Pat Sayeau urges “that everyone take the steps to stay safe and stay healthy by practicing social distancing and social isolation.”
