Province Declares State of Emergency During Second Wave of Pandemic

A Message From Mayor Pat Sayeau
Dear Residents of Edwardsburgh Cardinal,
In response to the rapidly increasing number of positive covid-19 cases, today the Province of Ontario declared a State of Emergency to take effect on January 13th, followed by a stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home, with exceptions for essential purposes, effective January 14th.
The residents of Edwardsburgh Cardinal have shown their community spirit during the hardships we faced in 2020. Through this second wave of the pandemic, we must increase our efforts to stay home and keep our community safe. Working together, we can make a difference and save lives.
Thank you to our essential workers and healthcare professionals working around the clock to keep us safe in these extraordinary circumstances. I ask our residents, family and friends to support you in the fight against covid-19 by staying home.
