Water/Sewer Operator

We are seeking a Water/Sewer Operator to support the operation and maintenance of municipal water and wastewater systems. Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Operator and Overall Responsible Operator, this position is responsible for the daily monitoring, maintenance, and safe operation of treatment facilities, pumping stations, and distribution and collection systems, in accordance with applicable legislation and operational standards.

Candidates must hold, at a minimum, an Operator-in-Training (OIT) Certification in Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment and possess a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License. The salary range for this position is $25.24 to $37.09 per hour, based on CUPE 2311-01.

We are seeking a Temporary Facility Operator to support the maintenance and operation of Township recreation facilities, parks, sports fields, and ice surfaces. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, Recreation Coordinator, and Facility Operator Lead Hand, this position is responsible for facility maintenance, ice making and resurfacing, grounds maintenance, equipment operation, and customer service.

Candidates must have a secondary school diploma, a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence, and a minimum of three years of parks and recreation experience, including ice making and resurfacing.
