The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal is proud to celebrate those that make our community a great place to live, work, and play.

Award categories and eligibility

The following criteria apply to all award categories:

  • Multiple individuals may nominate the same individual, business or organization.
  • Nominees may not self-nominate for an award.
  • Nominations must be submitted using the official nomination form. The form is available on the Township website or in person at the Township Office.
  • Submissions may be supported with video or photos.
  • Parent/guardian consent is required for nominees under 18 years old.
  • All nominations will be reviewed by Council and their decision is final.

This award honours an individual who demonstrates exceptional community spirit, leadership, and dedication to improving the Township.

The recipient must be a resident of the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal.

This award recognizes a young person making a positive impact in their community. They help improve the well-being of others in areas such as recreation, arts, education, community service, health, or business and demonstrate leadership, creativity, or initiative in their efforts.

The recipient must be an individual between 12 and 17 years old and live in the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal.

This award recognizes a small business that provides exceptional service and community involvement.

The Small Business nominee must be an active business located within the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal and employ less than 20 people.

This award celebrates a business that contributes to the local economy and community in meaningful ways.

The nominee must be an active business within the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal with 20 or more employees. 

This award honours a volunteer group, service club, or community organization that has contributed to improving the Township.

The nominee must be an active organization/group located within the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal.
