Summer Camps and Swimming Programs

Summer day camps

Every year, we organize four two-week sessions of summer day camp which take place in Cardinal and Johnstown. Our day camps offer a safe and engaging environment for children ages 5 to 10. Each session of summer camp includes swimming lessons, free swim, crafts and other outdoor activities.

Swimming lessons

Both our community pools will offer swimming lessons by the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life and Lifesaving Instructional program. 

Lessons will stress in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and skills, as well as Water Smart education which will last a lifetime.

Join our Junior Lifeguarding club

Jr Lifeguarding Club is a fun, hands-on program for kids ages 7 to 14. It’s a great way to build water skills, learn safety tips, and see what lifeguarding is all about — without the pressure of exams. Complete registration form.

Boredom busters

Each year, we offer Boredom Buster day trips for kids. These fun outings include bus transportation and are supervised by qualified staff.

Buses will depart from the South Edwardsburgh Community Centre.

Swim team

Joining a swim team is a great way for kids to stay active, improve their skills, and make new friends.

Swimmers build endurance, learn new techniques, and enjoy the fun of team spirit—all while gaining confidence in the pool.

Public swim/lane swim

Our community pools are open in June for public and lane swimming. Whether you're after fun or fitness, there's a swim for you.

Check the schedule for pool times and locations. There no fee and  registration is not needed—just drop in. Times may vary, so please review the schedule before each visit.

Aquatic fitness

Aquafit is a fun way to stay active, connect with friends, and enjoy a great workout in the water. Our instructors lead each class so everyone can enjoy the benefits of water-based fitness—no matter your experience level.

There is no fee for this program. Please complete the Aquafit health form before your first class. If you have your own water weights, bring them along!
