Volunteer for the Canal Beautification Ad hoc Steering Committee

The Canal Beautification Ad Hoc Steering Committee has been created to support the Township in planning and guiding improvements along the canal in Cardinal following the 2026 clean-up project. The Ad Hoc Committee will provide advice and recommendations to Council and staff regarding long-term beautification, public amenities, and ongoing maintenance strategies.

Student Arena Attendants

We are hiring Seasonal Student Arena Attendants for the 2026 season. This position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping keep our recreation facilities clean and safe.

Duties include cleaning facility areas, setting up rooms, assisting with ice flooding and patrolling public skating. Candidates must be enrolled in school and returning to school. Skating skills and First Aid and CPR-C certification are assets. Evening, weekend and holiday shifts are required.

The wage for this Part-time position is $16.60 to $17.60 per hour, based on the Ontario minimum wage rate that applies to the employee. Effective October 1, 2026, the range will be $16.90 to $17.95 per hour.

Duties include preparing and serving food, operating the cash register, keeping the canteen clean and following food safety procedures. Candidates must have a Food Handler Certification. Evening and weekend shifts are required.
