Canal Beautification Project

We are preparing for vegetation management work along the south canal embankment this summer as part of the Canal Beautification Project.

Work will include the removal of overgrown brush, vines, and select vegetation from the top of the embankment to the water’s edge. This work will help restore the canal corridor, improve access for future maintenance, and support long-term improvements to the area.

Residents and visitors in the area can expect periodic noise and the use of heavy equipment this summer while work is underway. Specific timing and project updates will be shared here once the contractor schedule is confirmed.
