Holiday Waste and Christmas Tree Collection

Residents will see a few temporary changes to waste services during the holiday season. 

Curbside collection changes

The holiday curbside garbage and recycling collection will differ from the 2025 schedule released earlier this year.

• Thursday, December 25 route will be collected on Friday, December 26
• Friday, December 26 route will be collected on Saturday, December 27
• Thursday, January 1 route will be collected on Friday, January 2
• Friday, January 2 route will be collected on Saturday, January 3

Transfer Station

 The Scott Road Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, December 27, and will resume regular hours on Saturday, January 3.

Christmas trees will be accepted at the station throughout the month of January at no charge.

Christmas tree collection

Curbside Christmas tree collection will take place in the villages of Cardinal, Spencerville, Johnstown and New Wexford from January 5 to January 16.

Trees placed at the curb must have all tinsel, plastic and decorations removed. Place your tree at the curb by January 5. Our crew will collect trees as weather and timing allow.

You can also bring your tree to the Scott Road Transfer Station at no charge during the month of January.
