Pitch-In this April

Pitch-In Month is returning to Edwardsburgh Cardinal this April, and we invite residents and organizations to help keep our communities clean and beautiful this spring.

Pitch-In is a long-running Canadian initiative that encourages communities to work together to reduce litter and care for shared spaces. Throughout the month, residents, families, businesses, and community groups are encouraged to organize small cleanups in neighbourhoods, parks, trails, and roadsides.

The Township will provide garbage bags and gloves (while supplies last) to support volunteer cleanups. Once your cleanup is complete, Township staff can also arrange to collect the filled bags.

If you’re planning a cleanup, please register in advance so we can ensure you have the supplies you need and arrange for disposal of collected litter.

Sharps safety

If you encounter a needle or other sharp object during your cleanup, avoid handling it directly. The South East Public Health website provides guidance on safe handling and disposal, or residents can call 1-800-660-5853 to report a found needle or request assistance.

Register

Even a small effort can make a big difference. By working together during Pitch-In Month, we can help keep Edwardsburgh Cardinal clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
