Cardinal road resurfacing
This project is completed.
The Township has completed the 2026 Cardinal Road Resurfacing Project, funded through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF).
The project included resurfacing the following roads:
- Dishaw Street (Perry Street to County Road 2)
- Meadowlands Drive (St. Lawrence Street to the cul de sac)
- Middle Street (John Street to Dundas Street)
- East Street (John Street to Dundas Street)
- Victoria Street (Dundas Street to Lambert Street)
Thank you for your patience during construction. These improvements will help extend the life of our roads and provide a smoother, safer driving surface.
Pittston Road East Resurfacing and Bridge Rehabilitation
Resurfacing is complete and bridge work is underway.
This project, through partnerships with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville (UCLG) and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG), includes resurfacing Pittston Road East and rehabilitating the bridge connecting the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal and the Municipality of South Dundas.
The road resurfacing portion of the project has been completed. Work is now focused on the bridge rehabilitation.
Pittston Road East remains closed at the bridge only. Local traffic can access the road from either side of the closure, but there is no through access across the bridge between Edwardsburgh Cardinal and South Dundas.
The bridge rehabilitation project is expected to be completed this fall.
