Significant Weather Event
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for our area, with freezing rain expected Sunday evening into Monday morning. Ice can build up fast, making roads, sidewalks, and driveways slippery. Power outages are possible.
Significant Weather Event Declared
The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal has declared a Significant Weather Event on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 12:00 noon due to forecasted freezing rain conditions.
What a Significant Weather Event means
During a Significant Weather Event, road and sidewalk maintenance timelines may be extended as conditions may be hazardous and/or change quickly. Public Works staff will continue to monitor conditions and respond as safely as possible.
Please use caution and avoid non-essential travel if possible.
