Hazardous Waste Items

Residents of Leeds and Grenville, Town of Gananoque and Town of Prescott can drop off household hazardous waste free of charge.

Examples of Household Hazardous Waste include the following...

• Batteries
• Light bulbs (no ballasts)
• Propane tanks (small & large)
• Antifreeze
• Gas, oil and oil filters
• Driveway sealer

Sewer Lateral Repair Work - John Street

Please be advised a private contractor will be replacing a sewer lateral at 3080 John Street, Cardinal on Tuesday, June 13. During the replacement, the intersection of John/East Street will be closed through to 3080 John Street until repairs are completed. Please detour onto Middle, Benson or Joseph Streets. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

The Draft Land Evaluation and Area Review (LEAR) Report has been released for consultation and your input is being sought on the specifics of the LEAR methodology and the resultant mapping that will be used to identify the agricultural areas. This is an opportunity to apply local knowledge and comment to refine the agricultural system map.
