Entrance Permits
All entranceway requests on Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal roads are reviewed by the Roads Superintendent to ensure safety, free flow of traffic, and compliance with the Entranceway Bylaw. Please note that entranceway permits for County roads are issued by the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville.
Entranceway Permit Application
Before starting any entranceway construction, you must apply for a permit from the Township.
Adminstration fee: $100
Standard Entranceway
- Application fee: $1,200
- (Includes a $100 admin fee + $1,100 for standard installation with a 26' x 12" culvert)
- Non-standard culverts: Additional charges may apply for different sizes.
Special or Commercial Entranceway
- Application fee: $2,200
- (Covers admin, materials, and labour)
- Add-ons: $500 for each 3-metre extension, if required.
Using a Private Contractor?
If you plan to hire your own contractor:
- A $2,000 refundable deposit is required.
- The deposit will be returned, less $100 admin fee, once the entranceway is inspected and approved by the Township.
- If the work does not meet standards, all or part of the deposit may be used to bring the entrance up to code.
