Tree seedling

The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) and South Nation Conservation (SNC) are partnering with local municipalities to offer 10,000 free tree seedlings to residents in their watershed jurisdictions in Eastern Ontario. This year marks the 25th Annual Tree Giveaway and the fifth year that RRCA and SNC have collaborated with municipalities on this initiative.

Residents will have access to several native or naturalized tree species, including White Pine, Norway Spruce, White Cedar, and many others. Species availability will vary between municipalities. The Annual Tree Giveaway not only helps improve the area's tree cover but also introduces residents to the various stewardship programs offered by their Conservation Authority.

To reserve your seedling bundles, register here or visit South Nation Conservation on Facebook. Successful applicants will receive an email confirmation with a pick-up date and location in their municipality in late April or May. If you have smaller projects in mind, South Nation Conservation's Over-the-Counter Tree Seedling program offers a variety of native tree and shrub seedlings at low cost.
