MTO Construction Notice for Glen Smail Road at Highway 416

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has advised that Glen Smail Road will be closed at the Highway 416 overpass starting May 19, 2026 for structure rehabilitation and paving.

The closure is expected to remain in place until late September.

The closure is located between Patterson Road and Hands Road at the Highway 416 overpass.

A signed detour will be in place. Drivers are advised to follow posted signage.

In addition, the MTO has advised that lane closures on Highway 416, in both northbound and southbound directions, are scheduled from May 19 to June 26 as part of this project.

This is an MTO project. The Township is sharing this information to help keep residents informed.
