Senior Exercise Class

The StrongerU program is designed specifically for seniors who want to stay active, improve mobility, and build strength in a safe, supportive environment. Each class blends gentle strength training, balance work, and functional movements that support everyday activities. Guided by our enthusiastic new instructor, participants will enjoy a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere where every fitness level is supported.

Winter sessions

Classes are offered in two convenient locations this winter. This is a drop-in program. Limited spots are available in each class, and participation is first come, first serve.

Johnstown at the South Edwardsburgh Recreation Centre

  • Mondays, starting January 5 until February 23, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Spencerville, upstairs in Townhall

  • Wednesdays, starting January 7 until February 25, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

 

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothing and indoor athletic shoes, and don’t forget to bring a water bottle. All equipment is provided, though you are welcome to bring your own light hand weights if you prefer.

Accessible and inclusive

We are committed to making our programs accessible and inclusive. Movements are easily modified so you can work at your own pace and comfort level.
