On June 9, Judie Martin donated a sculpture created by Millie in 2008 to honour her creative legacy in Cardinal. The piece—Cosette from Les Misérables—will be permanently displayed at the Cardinal Branch of the Edwardsburgh Cardinal Public Library, along with a commemorative plaque and Festival book.
On May 19, 2025, the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal proudly honoured a legacy of dedication and community service with the official renaming of the Public Works Garage in Cardinal. The facility at 4035 Dishaw Street is now named the Bill Walter Public Works Garage, in recognition of Bill Walter’s exceptional 44-year career in municipal operations.
The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal took time on Friday, May 9 to honour the dedication of its volunteer firefighters during the 2025 Firefighter Appreciation Night
Roadside weed spraying will take place in spring 2025 to help keep roads clear and safe. Spraying is planned between May 20 and June 20, depending on the weather.
