On May 19, 2025, the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal proudly honoured a legacy of dedication and community service with the official renaming of the Public Works Garage in Cardinal. The facility at 4035 Dishaw Street is now named the Bill Walter Public Works Garage, in recognition of Bill Walter’s exceptional 44-year career in municipal operations.

If you own a private well, you know it is important to sample your water regularly. Well water quality may fluctuate seasonally, so the Health Unit recommends testing in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Township keeps a supply of free water sample kits on hand, but until now, residents would still need to travel to a drop off location in Brockville or Kemptville to have their sample tested.

The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal is pleased to announce that PR Development LP has been awarded a contract by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) to build and operate a cutting-edge battery energy storage system named Skyview 2 right here in our community.
