FoodCore LGL launches Local Flavours, an updated guide to 10 markets and 38 farms across Leeds-Grenville-Lanark to support local food access.
Grade 7 students at South Grenville District High School launched Giants Ink, a custom T-shirt and decal business, through the Upper Canada District School Board’s Real-World Learning program. The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal was their first paying customer, helping the students secure $33,000 in grant funding and expand their operations. This hands-on project is building real business skills and creating long-term opportunities for student learning and community impact.

Routine pipeline test post inspections are underway on Cedar Grove Road and County Road 22 as part of Trans-Northern Pipelines’ ongoing maintenance program.
On June 9, Judie Martin donated a sculpture created by Millie in 2008 to honour her creative legacy in Cardinal. The piece—Cosette from Les Misérables—will be permanently displayed at the Cardinal Branch of the Edwardsburgh Cardinal Public Library, along with a commemorative plaque and Festival book.

On May 19, 2025, the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal proudly honoured a legacy of dedication and community service with the official renaming of the Public Works Garage in Cardinal. The facility at 4035 Dishaw Street is now named the Bill Walter Public Works Garage, in recognition of Bill Walter’s exceptional 44-year career in municipal operations.
Every year the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal organize Boredom Buster day trips for children ages 6 to 15 during the summer months.
